Fellow OGREs - I wanted to bring your attention to a conference I'm
involved with in Vancouver, February 6-10, 2007. For the last two years
I've spoken at a conference in Australia - we're working with the two
Australian organizers to bring their conference here. As I'm involved,
you can understand that accessibility is on the schedule :)
Of particular note: optional workshops the opening day of the
conference, then two solid days of speakers, and finishing up with 2
days of skiing/snowboarding at Blackcomb/Whistler. It is fully catered,
lots of parties, receptions and such - it will be tough not to have a
great time and learn a lot.
If you haven't already heard about Web Directions North, the web design
conference covering Ajax and Javascript, CSS, Microformats, mashups,
standards based web design and development, accessibility, web app
development, XHTML and HTML and more, in Vancouver next February, then
check out
http://north.webdirections.org/
Between now and December 8th OGRE members can get $100 off the ticket
price for the conference, bringing it to just $795. To take advantage of
this limited time discount go to:
https://secure.webdirections.org/wdn07/register/billing
And be sure to use the promo code: OGREwdn07
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask (though off-list is
probably best) and I'll be happy to answer.
I'm not trying to hard sell anyone here, but I thought you might be
interested. And, even if you aren't, perhaps you might know someone who
is? I'd appreciate it if you could pass this on to anyone you think
might be interested.
Thanks, in advance!
Cheers,
Derek.
